Could you run an event or activity to support people to stay healthy this winter? Small grant funding is available to support you.
Small grants of up to £500 are being made available by South West London NHS to run activities or events which support local communities to stay healthy and well during winter, and to help them collect feedback from people.
If you applied for the Winter Engagement Fund last year, they would love to hear from you again.
This year, the South West London Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Alliance is managing the grant process on behalf of South West London NHS, via Croydon Voluntary Action.
The fund is open to ideas about different types of events or activities. The grants are to make sure that information about local health and care services and support are available at whatever takes place – such as vaccinations, cost of living support, and mental health services. Information and training will be made available to support you.
The funding could be used for something that you have already organised to take place and could help cover some of the costs, such as increasing it in size or numbers attending, or incentivising people to participate.
Examples of previously funded activity includes a weekly singing workshop at a theatre, an afternoon tea at a local mosque, a pottery class by an arts group and a weekly lunch club with an older peoples’ group.
All activities and events will need to be delivered by February 2024.
The grants are for up to £500 per organisation.
An online drop-in session for any questions you have about the funding is taking place on Tuesday 7 November 2023, 12pm-1pm. Click here for the link to the Teams session. (Meeting ID: 339 637 968 994, Passcode: cBGj3f)
