JOB: Wellbeing Coordinator, Ruils – apply by 30 Apr

Salary: £28,500–£30,000 per annum / 28–35 hours per week (part or full time)

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work one-to-one with clients to effect change, whilst also having a positive impact on the wider system.

In this role, you’ll work with partners to deliver Health in Your Hands, a programme focused on preventing long-term conditions and reducing health inequalities.

Ruils is a Disabled people-led organisation focused on removing barriers to independent living. It provides services such as advice, advocacy, befriending, and community activities.

The main purpose of the role is to:

  • deliver one-to-one wellbeing support to residents
  • conduct basic health checks (training provided)
  • help individuals set goals and make informed lifestyle choices
  • connect clients to local services and community support
  • manage a caseload and maintain accurate records
  • contribute insights to improve service delivery.

You’ll need a commitment to inclusion and reducing health inequalities alongside the following essential skills:

  • experience supporting individuals with complex needs
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • compassionate, non-judgmental, and able to build trust
  • ability to work collaboratively with partners across sectors
  • understanding of social determinants of health
  • strong communication, organisation, and IT skills (databases, Word, Excel)
  • good time management and attention to detail.
