Salary: £12,800 per annum (£32,000 FTE) / 14 hours per week
This is a part-time role for an organised, proactive and collaborative Operations Manager, who is passionate about supporting refugees, asylum seekers and others learning English.
For over 40 years, LEAH has supported people whose first language is not English to thrive in health, education and the workplace. Their vision is inclusion through language. They help people with little or no English build the confidence, language skills and independence they need to access essential services, connect with their communities and participate fully in everyday life.
This role will help strengthen how LEAH works and demonstrate the impact of their services. You’ll act as a key link between funder requirements and internal priorities, maintaining their KPI and Funder Tracker and ensuring that key commitments, deadlines and outcomes remain on track.
You’ll lead on improving internal systems and processes so they are practical, easy to use and capture the information we need to understand student progression and outcomes.
You’ll also build and maintain relationships with external partners, strengthening our shared focus on outcomes and supporting delivery of LEAH’s strategic priorities.
They are looking for someone with strong organisational, operational and project management skills, who enjoys bringing structure to information and finding practical ways to improve systems.
You’ll be confident working with data and databases, monitoring and reporting information, and translating operational needs into clear and straightforward solutions.
Experience with Lamplight or a similar database system would be desirable.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
You’ll be comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a small staff team, managing competing priorities and communicating clearly and succinctly with colleagues and external partners.
Experience in the charitable sector is important, with experience in ESOL education particularly welcome.
Knowledge of local partners and services across the boroughs where LEAH operates would also be an advantage.
