FUNDING: Nature Hubs Fund – apply by 11 Jan 2024

Apply now if you have a project to create or improve a green space within 5km of a Starbucks store.

Small grants of up to £6,000 are being made available to community groups, schools and other not-for-profit organisations in England, Scotland and Wales.

This fund is a partnership between environmental charity Hubbub and coffee shop chain, Starbucks, through their 5p cup charge. They will make a total of 50 grants.

It will provide grants to projects that meet one or more of four stated themes:

  • increasing access to nature
  • bringing people together
  • upskilling the community
  • building climate resilience.

The funding can be used for a range of purposes, including equipment, utilities, staffing, volunteer expenses and training.

Projects should begin for the Spring/Summer growing season and be up and running within six months of receiving a grant. It’s desirable for grantees to be able to host a volunteering session for Starbucks’ staff in April 2024.

The closing date for applications is 3pm on 11 January 2024.

Decisions will be advised by the end of February 2024.
