FUNDING: Environmental & Sustainability, HCT – apply by 24 Oct

Richmond borough groups with projects which improve the environment for the community are eligible to apply to this small grants programme.

Are you working to reduce energy consumption, tackle climate change, boost recycling or create a nature reserve?

Or you might, for example, have ideas to make your community more sustainable or be encouraging wildlife back into your neighbourhood.

Round 2 of this funding programme from Heathrow Community Trust (HCT) is open for applications now, to award grants of up to £15,000 for projects with a total cost of up to £60,000.

HCT is an independent grant-making charity which receives funding from Heathrow Airport Limited, noise fines levied on airlines when they break the noise regulations, and other airport companies, as well as funding from Heathrow staff via their fundraising activities.

This programme has three themes of:

  • Supporting the community by supporting sustainable development
  • Protecting and enhancing our natural environment
  • Promoting Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Application is by an online form. Applicants can discuss project ideas in advance of applying – phone 01895 839916 or email questions to hct@groundwork.org.uk.

The closing date for applications is 10am on Tuesday 24 October 2023.
