FUNDING: Community Resilience Fund Round 2 – apply by 10 Nov

This fund for community infrastructure organisations aims to help London become more resilient to emergencies by supporting projects that create partnerships between the voluntary and community sector, local authorities, and Borough Resilience Forums.

Created in partnership with the Greater London Authority, the Fund is offering small grants of up to £5,000 for 11 new projects in the London boroughs which did not receive funding in Round 1 of this programme. This includes Richmond upon Thames.

The Fund is focused on the following outcomes:

  • Increased community preparedness for emergencies
  • Improved relationships between VCS and statutory agencies
  • Improved communications channels for responding to emergencies
  • Improved data and insight into community preparedness.

A broad range of activities and the costs associated with running them can be funded. Grants can cover the costs of project management, including contributing to core staff costs for their time spent working on the project.

Projects should last no more than 8 months and take place between January 2024 and August 2024.

Final reports will be due in September 2024.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 10 November 2023.

Full details, including an eligibility quiz and the application form, are available at the London Plus Community Resilience Fund Round 2 webpage.
