FUNDING: British Canoeing Stronger Together Fund – apply by 14 Feb 2023

Not-for-profit organisations, charities, clubs and other interest groups in England can apply to this fund which was launched in 2022.

The Fund will award grants of up to £10,000 for environmentally sustainable projects that aim to improve the wellbeing of communities by increasing participation in paddling. The total funding for 2022-23 programme is £120,000.

They are looking for projects that:

  • Support the delivery of Stronger Together (2022-2026)
  • Encourage more people to paddle
  • Are innovative and unique
  • Demonstrate a genuine community need
  • Have an impact on improving community wellbeing
  • Are sustainable and continue to provide support, access and opportunities after the Stronger Together Fund is spent

They will not support projects with any exclusionary purposes and cannot fund projects/work that has already taken place.

They want to ensure paddlers can achieve their sport and recreational ambitions in the water in safe, high quality and fun environments and are particularly keen to encourage young people, women and girls, people from under-represented communities, and people with disabilities.

The closing date for for the first application round is 12pm on 14 February 2023.
