FUNDING: Baring Foundation Arts Prgm for Men – apply by 23 Apr

A new £1 million fund has been launched to help UK arts organisations develop new activities involving men with mental health problems.

The Baring Foundation’s Arts Programme will award grants of between £20,000 and £50,000 to support charities and not-for-profit arts organisations to provide new and attractive creative participatory arts opportunities for men with mental health problems.

The fund is particularly targeting those who are not already taking part and wants to encourage those men who are least likely otherwise to take part.

Activities can be for men only, or mixed gender creative activities.

Projects should take place over at least one year, and preferably two or more years.

To be eligible, you must:

  • be an established arts organisation of any kind (including museums) operating in the UK
  • have delivered creative opportunities to people with mental health problems for at least two years
  • have had an annual income of over £75,000 for the last two years.

If you are interested in applying but have questions, a free online information session is available on Tuesday 19 March, 2pm-3:15pm. Register here.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 23 April 2024.
