Delivered in partnership with Sported, this fund aims to reduce inequalities in sport.
This is a three-year funding programme running from April 2025 until December 2027.
The Barclays Community Sport Fund Access Grant is available to support the delivery of football, tennis or cricket activities for women and girls, and engage people from other underrepresented groups, such as people with disabilities, those from racially diverse communities and those from the LGBTQ+ community.
Not-for-profit organisations including charities, community groups , youth groups and traditional sports clubs can apply for grants of £1,000.
The aim of the grants is to help sustain and increase access to football, tennis, and cricket for women and girls, as well as engage people from other underrepresented groups – such as people with disabilities, those from racially diverse communities and those from the LGBTQ+ community.
If successful for funding, groups will be able to access exclusive match tickets, mascot places, and promotional opportunities, as well as advice, support and signposting to training and resources.
One grant per organisation is allowed.
To be eligible, groups must deliver football, cricket or tennis activities for women and girls, or they can apply in order to start activities.
They must also operate in an area of high deprivation.
Applications can also be considered for projects engaging women and girls with disabilities or those who face challenges of rural isolation that are not in deprived areas.
Funding is also offered for Female Coaches for Girls, which will open for application from 8 July to 4 November 2026. This funding seeks to increase the number of female coaches delivering sport to girls through the funding for Level 1 or equivalent coaching courses.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 27 May 2026.
The fund may close earlier if a high number of eligible applications are recieved.
