The Asda Foundation’s Investing in Spaces and Places Grant programme will award grants totalling £1 million this year.
Grants of up to £25,000 are available to grassroots community organisations (total income under £100,000) for projects that improve community spaces and places across the UK.
The grants can cover costs such as building repairs, facilities improvements, and outdoor upgrades for properties owned or leased by community organisations. This could include roof repairs, electrical wiring upgrades, kitchen renovations, improving toilet facilities, or providing a communal garden area.
Since 2022, the Foundation has supported 90 groups to improve or transform a local community space.
The closing date for applications is the 28 July 2024.
Applications may close earlier if a large number are received.
All funding outcomes will be communicated in September 2024.
