FUNDING: A & N Daniell Charitable Trust – express interest by 31 March 2023

This Trust was founded to support well managed registered charities and CICs focused on the care and education of children and young people up to age 25 with severe learning difficulties and environmental conservation.

They are keen to identify projects that combine the above two key areas, for example initiatives which combine environmental objectives with significant community benefit. Their priority interest is projects that improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people with complex special educational needs through connections to nature and the environment.

The Trustees launched a new programme of grants for 2023, having previously distributed small grants. They are now looking to fund significant, sustainable projects that will leave a lasting legacy to the Trust’s founders.

Grants of between £50,000 and £250,000 are being offered through a two-stage application process. The funded activity can take place over one to three years.

Following the completion of an initial Expression of Interest form, if selected, organisations will be invited to apply for grant support.

They only support organisations that work in England, Wales or Scotland, which have an annual turnover of at least £250,000.

Applications are welcomed from anywhere in England, Wales and Scotland. However, priority will be given to projects based in Anglesey and Pembrokeshire in Wales, Shropshire and North Yorkshire in England, and West Highlands in Scotland.

The closing date for Expression of Interest forms is 31 March 2023.

Second stage applications are expected to open 26 May 2023 with a submission deadline of 21 July 2023.

Final decisions will be made by early October 2023, with awards made in November 2023.
