Small and larger funding awards are available for smaller charities and good causes in the south of England under a range of seven themes.
There are three funding rounds in 2024, with short application windows.
The seven themes are:
- Improving mental wellbeing
- Enabling participation in the arts
- Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
- Supporting marginalised groups and promoting equality
- Improving biodiversity and responding to the climate emergency
- Enabling participation in physical activity
- Increasing green spaces and access to the outdoors.
Dependent on the type of organisation, application can be made for £500-£2,500 or £500-£25,000.
The amount requested in any application should not exceed one-third of your organisation’s total income on the annual accounts submitted with your application.
Organisations should have an income of £1m or less in the most recent financial year.
To support decision their making, priority will be given to charities and good causes which meet some or all of the following criteria:
- organisations with an annual income of £250,000 and below
- funding for communities that rank as being within the top 15% on the English Indices of Deprivation
- funding for groups that are set up to support people from the minority/marginalised groups of LGBT+ people, communities experiencing racial inequity, and disabled people.
The application window for Round 3 is open from 9am on Monday 26 August 2024 and closes at 12 noon on Monday 2 September 2024.
