Hundreds of thousands of trees are being given away to help the UK reach its 2050 carbon net-zero target.
Schools, nurseries, colleges, universities, outdoor learning centres, and other groups – such as resident associations, sports clubs, parish councils, scouts and guides – in the UK can apply for up to 420 saplings to improve their local environment.
There are two deliveries a year, in March and November.
The tree packs you can select from are:
- hedging
- copse
- wild harvest
- year-round colour
- working wood
- wild wood
- wildlife
- urban.
All the trees supplied are sourced and grown in the UK and Ireland.
The Trust has an online resource with everything you need to plan, plant and care for your tree pack. The activities include a planning tool, planting advice and interactive activities, and are useful for community groups and schools.
Applications are expected to close in January 2025 or sooner depending on stock availability.
