At Crossroads Care Richmond & Kingston upon Thames, Care Support Workers (CSW) play a crucial role in assisting or substituting the primary caregiver within the home environment. They provide practical support to both the carer and the individual receiving care.
The tasks assigned may vary from personal care to engaging in social activities, along with light domestic duties as required. In delivering high-quality care, they adhere to the policies set forth by Richmond upon Thames Crossroads Care at all times.
The ideal candidates should have a combination of essential skills and qualities, along with the willingness to continuously learn and improve in their caregiving responsibilities.
Amongst the essential requirements are the need for excellent communication skills, a compassionate and respectful attitude, the ability to adapt to challenging situations, the maintenance of confidentiality, good time management and the ability to work independently.
It is desirable to have an NVQ Level 3 in Care and prior experience, with an understanding of carers and individual needs and Care plans, and the aptitude to identify concerns.
