National Safeguarding Adults Week, 20-24 November 2023

The theme of this important annual awareness week is ‘How to prioritise the well being of yourself and others’.

The Ann Craft Trust is a leading authority in safeguarding adults and young people at risk and has a range of resources and are hosting a series of online discussions to prompt conversation and share good practice. View the resources and register for Ann Craft Trust events here.

LondonADASS is an Unincorporated Association that brings together the London based Directors of Adult Social Services to enhance the quality of adult social care across the Capital. During the week, they have a special programme of free online (Teams) events for professionals, as below (click on a title to register):

Locally, the Richmond and Wandsworth Safeguarding Adult Board has strategic oversight for adult safeguarding in the borough. They have a range of community resources and information, such as ‘what is cuckooing’ and ‘What to expect when you raise a safeguarding concern’. Find the local Safeguarding Board resources here.

Their website also provides clear information on types of adult abuse and a link to report any abuse or concerns is available at their About Adult Abuse webpage.
