This Foundation offers small grant funding for capital expenditure to registered charities with an annual turnover of less than £1million.  Their focus is on projects that support those in need of a secure of a secure and safe home.

The small grants scheme offers up to £1,000 for projects that fit with the criteria themes:

• Relief of financial stress

• Security and refuge

• Quality and sustainability of housing

• Health and Wellbeing of those experiencing homelessness.

Their large grants scheme is only applicable to organisations in Yorkshire and the North East of England.

You do not have to be a customer of Leeds Building Society to be apply.

The panel meets quarterly, with the following 2026 application windows:

• Monday 5 January – Monday 2 March (for meeting on 25 March)
• Tuesday 3 March – Monday 1 June (for meeting on 24 June)
• Tuesday 2 June – Monday 7 September (for meeting on 7 October)
• Tuesday 8 September – Wednesday 11 November (for meeting on 2 December).

You can apply for funding again if your application is unsuccessful, but not for the same items of expenditure.
