Salary: £23,387 per annum pro rata / 21 Hours per week

Kickstart your career and make a difference to your community with this six month paid internship.

Healthwatch Richmond is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services. They are here to make sure that those running services put people at the heart of health and social care services, and to help people to find the information they need. Their purpose is to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health and social care services and to speak out on their behalf to ensure that they meet the needs of the community.

In this 3-day week role, you will regularly produce content for press and media, email, print, website and social media to promote the organisation.

Building on your existing skills, you’ll gain support in developing a strategic approach to communications as you see work through from start to finish, and learn new ones to design and undertake projects, analyse results, write reports and communicate and promote outcomes and impact.

The organisation’s work is dynamic and constantly evolving, so the ability to pick up new skills and approaches, adapt and find pragmatic solutions is essential.

The successful applicant will report to the Chief Officer and be supported by both the Chief Officer and a Senior Project Officer. They will be provided with a programme of training and 1-2-1 support throughout the 6-month period.

The internship is based in Twickenham, with travel throughout the London Borough of Richmond and occasional evening, weekend and homeworking, as required.
