Salary: £300 per 7.5 hours delivered / 1 day per week approximately to March 2025

A Parental Leave cover contract suited to an arts or charity programme manager with experience of working with vulnerable groups and an understanding of mental health.

Art & Soul is a charity in South West London providing a range of therapeutic arts workshops and other creative activities for local people, to help improve their mental health.

With growing evidence that workshops can help enhance emotional wellbeing, all are welcome, regardless of artistic ability. All the workshops and events held are free, thanks to the support of individuals and a range of organisations.

This is an exciting time to join the charity – they recently held their first in-person exhibition since Covid, and have developed significant reach, gaining support from a new range of funders. They continue to create new partnerships with organisations that support mental health for adults, children and young people and now work regularly with Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

The purpose of this role is to fundraise for, develop and deliver the Art & Soul programme of workshops, events and exhibitions, aimed at supporting people of all ages with mental health issues across South West London.

It would suit a freelancer who manages various projects through their week, who has experience of fundraising for the arts and has an understanding of issues relating to mental health and/or experience of working with vulnerable groups and a good understanding of safeguarding.

It is desirable that applicants have local knowledge of the voluntary sector and local council in South West London, particularly Richmond upon Thames.

The post is offered on a freelance contract of approximately one day per week, delivered flexibly between June 2024 and March 2025.  There is some flexibility on start date which can be discussed at interview.

It is important that this role is delivered flexibly and the work is delivered as and when needed, according to the programme and funding deadlines. Art & Soul’s programme usually closes in August.
