Salary: £27,000 to £29,000 per annum pro rata / 8 hours per week
Could you help provide effective management of the finance and administrative functions of a well established charity supporting children and young people with ADHD?
As the Finance Administrator at ADHD Embrace you will be responsible for keeping their financial records accurate and helping them understand how they are doing each month.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will work closely with their Treasurer and collaboratively with other members of staff and trustees.
The key responsibilities of this part-time post include:
- Keeping their books in good order – recording income and spending promptly in Xero, monthly bank reconciliations, work with colleagues on their booking system and CRM so income is invoiced and recorded correctly and late payments are followed up
- Reporting and Planning – preparing monthly management accounts, work with the Fundraiser on grant income and preparing funding releases for sign-off, help with the annual budget, re-forecasts and simple budgets for new services
- Supporting compliance – help the Treasurer with HMRC filings and queries, the annual Gift Aid claim and keeping details up to date, help ensure Charity Commission filings are made on time, support the annual insurance renewal and coordinate DBS checks, offer general finance and admin support, including keeping regular back-ups of our records.
The organisation is looking for candidates with around three years of bookkeeping or accounts experience, confident with cloud accounting (Xero ideally) and good with Excel.
The role will suit someone who is careful with detail and quick to notice when something does not look right. They should be organised, able to work independently, and happy to be part of a small, friendly team.
An understanding of charity finance would be a bonus but not essential.
There is flexibility in terms of when the 8 hours per week are worked. The role can be performed by working from home with a requirement to attend meetings from time to time.
Currently the team work in a shared office space one day a week (Monday) in Richmond and, therefore, the role is ideally suited to someone working within travelling distance.
The closing date for applications is Friday 30 October 2026.
