As part of his Green New Deal, the Mayor is investing in projects that create and improve green and blue spaces across the capital, and that enhance our resilience to the impacts of climate change.
This £4m fund will support large-scale, innovative enhancements to green and blue spaces, and the wider public realm that will strengthen climate resilience, increase biodiversity, improve accessibility, build green skills and help reduce health inequalities.
Grants from £250,000 to £750,000 will be available to local authorities and other public sector and civil society organisations for projects that must be completed by March 2024.
The closing date for applications to be submitted will be 5pm on Thursday 30 September 2021.
