FUNDING: Women’s Health Community Fund – apply by 15 June

In it’s third year, Holland and Barrett, in partnership with Wellbeing of Women, invite funding applications which help to address inequalities in menopause care amongst under-served communities across the UK.

The Fund is designed to support small grassroots organisations and community groups to deliver important health information and support to women, girls and people from underrepresented communities.

It offers up to £5,000 to spend in a 12-month period, with payment being split into two parts, 50% at the beginning of the project and 50% upon receiving of a 6-month report.

They are looking for projects that address:

  • Improving information, education or support for menstrual health, menopause and/or related gynaecological conditions e.g. PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, PMDD.
  • Supporting people and groups that are often excluded in mainstream healthcare, including those from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, people living with disabilities, those experiencing homelessness, addiction, or living in areas of economic deprivation.

Applicants must be small, grassroots organisation operating in the UK, and must have an income of less than £250,000 per year or fewer than 5 FTE staff.

Activities must aim to improve health outcomes through promoting positive and healthy conversations, knowledge sharing, education and/or training. The types of activities that could be supported range from community events such as coffee mornings or fun activities, to events organised by individuals to raise awareness.

Application is made through a simple online form.
