The Women & Girls Match Fund is here to multiply generosity, tackle gender inequality and stop discrimination.
It’s open to charities that are working to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged or underrepresented women and girls in the UK and internationally.
In 2025, £2.3million was raised for 217 women and girls charities.
This year, eligibility has been expanded to better support smaller charities, recognising the ongoing funding pressures faced by organisations working with women and girls, and the minimum income threshold has been lowered to £5,000.
The Big Give is offering £500 to £10,000 in match funding for campaigns enabling you to double your donations during the national 7-day campaign, 6- 13 October 2026.
To be eligible to apply, charities must meet all of the following criteria:
- Charities that are led by, for and with women and girls
- Charities that are working to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged or underrepresented women and girls in in the UK and internationally
- UK-registered charities with at least one year of filed accounts and an annual income of at least £5,000 (as per last filed accounts), or organisations with tax-exempt status for charitable purposes
- Charities which are registered on theBigGive.org.uk (it’s free to register).
Applications are encouraged and will be prioritised in the assessment process if they are from charities that are led by Black and minoritised women and girls, LGBTQI women and girls, or Disabled women and girls.
Participating charities also have access to support from the Big Give to help run and manage campaigns.
The closing date to apply is Friday 19 June 2026.
