The Wolfson Foundation Funding for Places offers grants to charitable organisations across a wide range of areas.
They support care and services for older people, particularly if they have a neurodegenerative condition or are isolated, and also support organisations that work in mental health, disability, hospices and palliative care, museums and galleries, places of worship, performing arts and more.
Their funding supports new build, refurbishment and equipment projects that aim to:
- increase access to services for new/ existing users
- increase the quality and range of services
- improve the financial stability of the organisation.
The size of grants varies greatly across different categories. Applications should state the total cost of your project and the amount you still need to raise towards it, rather than a specific amount. In Stage 2, you will be asked to provide a breakdown of costs for each element or stage of your project.
Applications for over £50,000 require match funding.
There is a 2-stage application process and the next Stage 1 closing date is the 1 July 2024.
Applications successful at this stage will have until 1 September 2024 to complete Stage 2 application.
