Are you part of a community or voluntary organisation in South West London? You could apply for the NHS South West London Winter Engagement Fund 2024/25 and help to support people to stay well this winter.
The fund is offering small grants of up to £500 for events and activities that will help them to speak and listen to local people.
The type of event is up to you, but you will need to share information about winter health, such as vaccinations, places to find support, using local pharmacies and the NHS App. You’ll also need to collect feedback.
They are particularly keen to hear from organisations that can reach:
• parents and carers with children aged 2 to 3 years old
• people who are pregnant
• people aged over 65 years old
• people who experience issues or barriers in access their health and care
• specific areas across Croydon, Kingston, Richmond, Merton, Wandsworth, Sutton (see question 12 in the application form for details).
If you applied for any of their previous grant schemes, they would love to hear from you again and are open to proposals.
Some previous examples of funded activities are exercise-based clubs for young people, and events which support communities during cost of living challenges.
The South West London Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Alliance is managing the application process on behalf of South West London NHS, via Croydon Voluntary Action. Croydon Voluntary Action is working with NHS-funded community and voluntary sector partner organisations to distribute the funding. You can read more about the alliance here
There is a short walk-through video available to show you how to complete the brief online application form. Watch ‘Completing Your Winter Engagement Fund Application’ here.
The closing date for applications is Monday 30 September 2024.
