FUNDING: Together for London Emergency Funding – apply by 17 Nov 2022

This new emergency fund has opened for applications and will offer emergency grants to organisations in London boroughs which are responding to the immediate impacts of the cost of living crisis in their communities, particularly those hardest hit by the crisis.

Flexible grants of up to £10,000 are available to organisations with a total annual income of up to £500,000 in the previous year. The grants must be spent within 6 months. This short timeline reflects the fact that this is emergency response funding.

Dependent on the volume of applications, further priority will be given to organisations with an income of less than £300,000 or those who operate in areas with high levels of deprivation.

Examples of eligible areas of work for this funding are food security, essential items and bills, mental health, financial advice and welfare advice.

Additionally, part of the grant can be used to support the resilience and sustainability of your organisation. This means funding for core organisational costs such as salaries, rent and bills and capacity to respond to the crisis.

Applications from organisations supporting people on low incomes or those who are likely to be disproportionately impacted by the cost of living crisis as a result of systemic inequality will be prioritised.

First priority will be given to the following groups of people, although others will also be considered:

  • People with disabilities
  • Older people
  • Black and Minoritised Ethnic (BME) communities
  • Carers
  • Homeless people or people at risk of homelessness

Two Q&A sessions for the fund are available to book on Monday 7 November and Tuesday 8 November.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Thursday 17 November 2022.

Grant decisions will be given by Monday 19 December 2022.
