Small grants are available to registered charities to support projects that equip people (18 years or older) from disadvantaged groups with critical life skills necessary for employment.
Awards of £5,000 are made by the Trust which believes that communication skills are critical capabilities for people who want to improve their employment prospects, self-confidence, resilience, and life chances.
Priority will be given to projects that target people experiencing multiple deprivation or other groups facing major hurdles to employment, especially women, people with physical, mental, or learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers.
There is a two-stage application process, beginning with a short Expression of Interest and followed with a more detailed application form.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- be a UK charity that has been registered with the Charity Commission for at least 3 years
- be a project or running costs for a charity that equips people (aged 18 and over) with the skills ready for employment
- have an annual turnover of between £25,000 and £500,000.
The next closing date for Stage One applications is 22 December 2025.
Successful applicants will be invited to Stage Two where a Project Plan and other details will be required.
