To celebrate their 20th anniversary, The Happiness Fund will be offering extra support to grassroots projects.

The Happiness Fund aims to enable and support projects which improve mental health and wellbeing, inclusion, learning and skills development in local communities. It aims to support the setting up of new grassroots neighbourhood-based community activities.

To be successful, applicants need to indicate how the activity/group can become self-sustainable or be able to attract funding from other sources for the longer term.

This anniversary year, there will be two funding cycles, with two projects receiving awards of £5,000 each.

Funding Cycle 1 will open on Monday 2 March 2026.

Applications must be submitted by the deadline of Friday 27 March 2026.

Applicants will be advised if they qualify for the interview round by 17 April 2026 and interviews will be held on 23 April 2026. The winners will be announced on 15 May 2026.
