FUNDING: Sustaining Spaces Fund – opening 22 August 2022

Small grants are to be made available to groups facilitating community spaces where people with shared identities and experiences come together in support of one another’s wellbeing.

NSUN will be awarding grants of £500-£1,000 to groups which benefit people or communities who live with mental ill-health, trauma and distress in a community setting. This could include peer support, mutual aid, self-help groups or others.

The fund wants to help the continuation of safe, affirming spaces of connection and healing, whether in-person or online. It could support costs such as tech subscriptions, rent for venues, tablets or laptops, refreshments and food for meetings or events, masks or PPE, materials for activities, publicity costs, or volunteer expenses.

Priority will be given to groups led by and for people from racialised communities/people of colour, young people and from LGBTQ+ and QTIBPOC communities.

The application period will open at 9am on Monday 22 August 2022.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 16 September 2022.

Grants must be used by the end of March 2023.
