The latest round of funding from this environmental charity is open to support small projects for UK charities, social enterprises and grassroots community organisations whose work connects communities with nature and improves physical and mental wellbeing, while fostering positive action on climate change.
Small grant awards are available of up to £5,000.
There are three funding windows per year.
The current autumn round is inviting applications from charities, community groups, and organisations which are boosting biodiversity via:
- Pollinator plans
- Habitat restoration
- Hedgerow management
- Wildlife gardens
- Pesticide alternatives
- Conservation volunteering
- Education
- Influencing local councils
- Citizen science
- Community wildlife surveys.
Eligible initiatives may include:
- arts and cultural activities
- community gardening
- green gyms
- mental health support
- conservation volunteering
- green skills training
- improving access to urban and natural green spaces.
If you have a completely new approach to encouraging nature connection, they are keen to hear.
Applications from government-funded organisations and schools are no longer being accepted.
The Trust is a charity funded by the premiums generated by Naturesave Insurance and focuses primarily on grant funding for environmental projects, and also funds sustainability advice, and a long-running tree planting programme.
The deadline for the October-November funding round is 12 noon on Thursday 27 November 2025.
