This Award was established in memory of Spectra’s friend, Board Member and Trustee who sadly died in 2022 and offers small grants for work which aligns with the organisation’s vision.
The work of Spectra Charity reflects and supports the work of Spectra CIC. Spectra CIC works particularly with LGBTQ+ communities, and other marginalised groups, including young people and adults, offering counselling, independent health advocacy, social groups, peer mentoring, sexual health support, testing, training and outreach.
Both work towards a world where all communities reach their full potential by being empowered and supported to make positive, informed life-choices.
Their vision is:
For a future where LGBTQ+ people and people from other marginalised communities facing health inequalities, discrimination, and systemic barriers can make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.
Grants of up to £2,500 are available for not-for-profit groups in Greater London with an annual income of around £250,000 or less in the last financial year.
They are particularly interested in applications from London based groups and organisations run by and for refugees, migrants and people seeking asylum.
The Charity will prioritise applications that:
- involve the communities and people they support in the planning, design and delivery of projects and services
- demonstrate that staff and/ or project leads have lived experience connected to your group mission and aims
- provide support or services that are free at the point of delivery.
Applications must be submitted through the organisation’s online form.
Any questions about the Award can be emailed to grants@spectra-london.org.uk.
The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 10 November 2025.
In addition to this Award, individuals may apply for hardship grants at any time of the year if they are a current service user at Spectra. This must be submitted via a staff member.
