Prevention & Screening Community Grant – apply by 26 Nov

Could your organisation help to increase cancer awareness in your local community?

RM Partners has launched a new cancer Prevention and Screening Community Grant with a limited application window and quick award.

Up to to £500 is being offered to local community and voluntary groups to deliver one-off sessions focusing on Men’s Health and Cancer or Women’s Health and Cancer. 

In South West London, Croydon Voluntary Action is managing the grant process on behalf of RM Partners.

Sessions must be delivered in a community setting between 1 February 2026 and 16 March 2026.

Awards can be used to help cover the costs of an activity which is already planned to take place, eg. venue cost or refreshments. Or it could be for a new event or activity where information and materials related to the specific campaign will be cascaded. Ideally this would be complemented by online promotion.

Priority will be given to applications which reach communities with poorer health outcomes, in particular:

  • people aged 55 and over
  • Caribbean, Chinese, Pakistani communities (for Women’s Health)
  • people with co-morbidities and those living with Serious Mental Illness
  • specific groups experiencing poorer access to healthcare or from at risk populations, such as older adults, those living in areas of deprivation, ethnic minority communities, people with disabilities.

Support will be provided to share key messaging about:

  • lifestyle factors and lowering cancer risk, including smoking cessation
  • national screening programmes
  • gender specific cancer information, for example breast screening or prostate cancer
  • local health and wellbeing resources and support.

To secure the funding, at least one person from your organisation must attend a 1-hour webinar (as relevant):

  • Men’s Health and Cancer: Tue 20 Jan, 2026, 1pm – 2pm
  • Women’s Health and Cancer: Thu 22 Jan 2026, 3pm – 4pm.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 26 November 2025.

Awards will be made week commencing 8 December 2025.
