First launched back in 2018, the Purina Better with Pets Prize 2023 is part of a new bold commitment made to help 1,000,000 people in vulnerable situations improve their health and wellbeing through the power of the pet-human bond by 2030.
They are looking for organisations and social enterprises to partner with to achieve this ambitious goal and invite all organisations which already work to support people in vulnerable situations and who have implemented projects in this field to apply and join this community.
They would also like to support organisations who are interested in learning more on how the pet-human bond could help their organisation’s purpose.
The Prize has been created to act as a catalyst between organisations working with people in vulnerable situations and those operating in the petcare ecosystem. All participants will be informed about opportunities to collaborate, share best practice, foster initiatives, network, and fundraise.
Purina aims to provide 2-year strategic grant(s) of up to €100,000 per year to the most impactful organisation(s) to support them to grow, reinforce their impact and collaborate to strive for system change. Access to best practice will be offered by sharing innovations and research outcomes, hosting events and by offering training opportunities to upskill knowledge in this impact area and ultimately drive systemic change.
