FUNDING: Parkinson’s Physical Activity Grants – opening 10 March

Community groups and organisations across the UK will again be able to apply for small grants to help people with Parkinson’s to stay active.

Full details are to be released but previously the the funding of up to £3,000 has supported new activities, or the development of activities, which encourage people affected by Parkinson’s to participate in physical activity and sport, or increased participation.

This has been anything fun and enjoyable that encourages people, particularly those from isolated and ethnic communities, to get moving, such as a walking group, joining a Parkinson’s boxing class, or playing ball games.

A series of free Meet the Funder are being held. These will cover the current criteria and priorities, what can be funded, and what the decision-making panel will be looking for in an application.

The next available dates are Wednesday 19 March (10am – 11am) and Tuesday 8 April (2pm – 3pm). Click here to register for a webinar.
