The Persimmon Charitable Foundation was set up in 2015 to help support communities across the UK, particularly those in areas of economic and social deprivation.
It distributes donations to charities and organisations, including those focused on:
- transforming communities through the provision of public amenities and recreational facilities
- promoting sustainable development
- social mobility and the advancement of young people and/or unemployed people through education and training
- helping people to lead more active lives through sport
- helping people to lead healthier lives, including supporting those living with health conditions and funding medical research
- helping people to overcome barriers such as poverty, disability and other disadvantages.
There are two rounds of funding a year, with a total of £200,000 available for distribution each year, in the form of four £50,000 donations.
The first round opens in March, with two donations awarded in May.
The second round opens in June, with two donations made in September.
The deadline for applications for the first round of funding is 11.59pm on Sunday 13 April 2025.
