This Foundation supports organisations which help disabled people to make journeys and fund them to provide services for disabled people, or work to make transport more accessible.
Eligible organisations including smaller charities and Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations (DDPOs) with an annual turnover of at least £50,000.
There are five funds open and more are expected to be launched. The current rounds are:
- Better Access to Active Travel Experiences and Equipment – offering £50,000 to £1 million to improve active travel options for disabled people. There are grants available for projects that have an immediate impact, or have a longer-term impact
- Better Access to Wheelchairs and Mobility Aids: Large Grants – offering £250,000 to £1 million which aims to make an impact by awarding grants to improve and expand access to good quality, affordable wheelchairs and mobility equipment for disabled people.
- Better Access to Wheelchairs and Mobility Aids: Small Grants – offering £50,000 to £249,999 to organisations working on a local or regional level or supporting smaller numbers of disabled people, to fund access to wheelchairs and mobility equipment, and additional support such as assessments and maintenance.
- Support for Travel Training Schemes – offering £50,000 to £1 million to help increase disabled people’s confidence when travelling, by supporting organisations deliver and grow impactful travel support programmes.
The above four funds have an application deadline of Monday 15 December 2025.
- Expanding Access to Driving Tuition for Disabled People – offering £50,000 to £1 million for organisations that provide driving tuition for disabled people.
The above fund has an application deadline of 31 March 2026.
