New funding has just opened for micro grants to support and encourage local voluntary sector organisations to deliver small events or activity focusing on unpaid adult carers.
Through funding from Richmond Council’s Active Richmond fund, Richmond Carers Centre is offering grants of between £250 to £500 for the delivery of events or activities during or around Carers Week 2024 in the month of June.
They are seeking to fund activity which promotes social inclusion, reduces social isolation and loneliness, or has an element of physical activity or healthy eating. They also want to support you to celebrate and recognise unpaid carers within your organisational reach.
You could offer a taster session, a trip, a creative experience, a new opportunity for unpaid carers to get together and be heard, or something else.
Application is by a short online form which will be available until Friday 10 May 2024 or until all funds have been allocated. A Word version of the form is also available.
Applications will be assessed upon receipt.
It is estimated that between 10 – 20 organisations will be supported.
Organisations receiving the award will be expected to complete a brief monitoring report. This will be shared once a grant has been agreed and will include a short summary of activity delivered, number of carers engaged, and self-assessment against Public Health Framework outcomes.
