This is an opportunity for community groups and projects that use music and the values of the rock and metal community to help create an equal society.
Community groups, charities and non-profit organisations are invited to apply for up to £3,000 to deliver community projects that use music as a tool for change.
The charity aims to use the positive values of rock, metal and other alternative subcultures to make a positive difference in communities. It has been fundraising for community projects and organisations since 2022. It supports the transformational power of music and specifically looks to fund projects which use music to:
- improve mental health
- support young people to thrive
- address inequalities.
They are particularly keen to help grassroots community groups and small-to-medium-sized voluntary organisations.
Up to six projects will be awarded funding, with one award of £3,000, two awards of £2,000 and three awards of £1,000.
Applications will close at 5pm on 22 August 2024.
Successful projects will be shortlisted in September, and the final amount they receive will be determined by Metal For Good’s supporters.
