Registered charities can apply for grants for projects that support vulnerable people and build community resilience across the UK.
Grants of between £25,000 and £50,000 are available from the Lloyd’s of London Foundation as they look to partner with charities to deliver projects in the areas of employability, social mobility, mental health, climate and disaster avoidance and relief.
Funding can be used to cover costs including salaries, materials and equipment, training of charity employees and activities for the project.
Charities will also have an opportunity to engage with the Lloyd’s Corporation and wider insurance market through fundraising and volunteering initiatives.
Applications with some or all the following specifications will be favoured:
- Support for people and communities directly
- Support for groups that are at risk and are the hardest to reach
- Focus on one or more of the of employability, social mobility, mental health, climate or disaster avoidance/relief
- Demonstration of good governance and due diligence
- Collaboration with others in the charity sector
- Proposals that are evidenced by research
- Demonstration of long-term sustainability once the partnership has ended
- Demonstration of a key need and address the issues outlined in the proposal
- Charities who offer employee engagement opportunities to the Lloyd’s market including business collaboration, fundraising, volunteering, pro-bono support and awareness raising.
The closing date for for applications 11.59pm on the 11 December 2022.
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by 19 December 2022 to further discuss their applications.
