The Leeds Building Society is celebrating its 150th anniversary by inviting charities and community groups to apply for a share of £150,000 of unrestricted funding.
UK-based charities and community groups can apply for unrestricted grants of up to £30,000 to support vulnerable people to find a place to belong through housing and their community.
To be eligible, applicants must be a non-profit organisation, including but not limited to registered charities, community interest organisations, community benefit societies and community interest companies.
They must also have a governing document and organisational bank account, and have an annual turnover of £5m or less.
Consideration will be given to whether applicants are looking at a solution-focused way of addressing social issues, their understanding of their identified beneficiaries, and whether they have a measurable way of demonstrating impact. Additionally, a strong track record of delivering outcomes will be considered.
The fund will not support political organisations, organisations based outside of or doing work outside of the UK, or charities that are currently in receipt of a grant from the Leeds Building Society or the Leeds Building Society Foundation.
To apply, interested organisations must email fund150@leedsbuildingsociety.co.uk to request a copy of the application guidance.
Applications must be submitted by Friday 16 May 2025.
Decisions will be made in June and payments made from September.
