Jingle Jam raises money to support charities that will make the world a better place for children and young adults.
It is the world’s biggest games charity event and, with support from gamers, developers and publishers, has raised over $25m for charities in the last 10 years.
There are four main areas of focus this year:
- physical and mental health
- diversity and inclusion
- equality of opportunity
- protecting the planet
Grants will not be restricted to specific projects and can be for unrestricted funding.
This huge fundraising event raises money for great causes and also raises awareness of the good that videogames do for the world. Charities don’t have to be involved directly with videogames but will need to show how they can align with the games industry and gamers themselves.
The first step is to complete a short online (Google) Expression of Interest form by 11 March 2022, on which you will need to provide a brief description of your project or plans (maximum 500 words).
If you’re invited to the next stage, you’ll be sent a link to an application form where you will need to provide in-depth information about your charity’s work, detail the outcomes that fit the funding criteria and the projects and people you support.
The application deadline will be confirmed when you are invited to the application stage. There will be approximately four weeks to complete the form.
Once all the applications have been received the Jingle Jam 2022 panel will assess them and choose 8 – 12 charities to support this year.
All applicants should be informed if they’ve been successful by the end of May 2022.
