This Trust supports charities that improve opportunities for young professionals working in the arts.

It particularly supports those at an early stage in their careers, and the conservation of important works of art and objects that are being lost through lack of funds.

Application can be made by UK registered charities working in the above two priority areas for small one-off grants for up to £7,000.

If you have previously received a grant from the Trust, you cannot reapply for 24 months.

The closing date for applications is midday on Thursday 5 September 2024.

Decisions will be made by early December 2024.

Following this, the next funding round will open on Monday 2 December 2024 with a closing date of midday on Friday 14 February 2025.

The Trust is now also offering three awards each year, of £21,000 over three years, in support of early career professional development programmes in the Arts. These are specifically for charitable organisations whose programmes Idlewild has supported previously and application is by invitation only.
