This Foundation supports projects which encourage local people to be active, learn and play together.

GLL is charitable social enterprise that currently runs 240 leisure centres, 120 libraries and 15 children’s centre across the country, in partnership with 60 local councils, public agencies and sports organisations. They aim to help everyone in their local communities to be able to enjoy educational, sport and play activities and want to make communities better for everyone.

They have partnered with the crowd funding platform Space Hive, to offer pledges of up to £5,000 towards projects with civic value:

• which get people active
• which are
• creative and innovative ideas to provide opportunities for the people to be more physically active
• which engage with, are accessible to and celebrate the diversity of communities
• with strong support from the local community.

There is a total fund of £100,000 to pledge to eligible applications.
