Fight for Sight has launched a new round of funding for sustainable projects that build connections and confidence for children and young people who are blind and vision impaired.
Grants of up to £30,000 will be available to sight loss organisations supporting this target group.
They are specifically interested in work that builds social, digital and self-advocacy skills, so that vision impaired children and young people feel connected with each other, with their sighted peers, and with the wider communities around them.
Applications are welcomed from organisations who are collaborating in order to share best practice, deliver at scale or meet previously unmet need.
They are looking for bright ideas to leave a sustainable, lasting impact and, ideally, which help evidence changes which will make a real difference in the lives of blind and vision impaired people. Their long term goal is to bring about broader social change.
Application is by an online application form and a project proposal of up to 750 words in Microsoft Word format.
The closing date for applications is 11:59pm on Monday 14 October, 2024.
