FUNDING: Co-op Local Community Fund – apply by 24 Jun

The next round of this fund is open for applications by organisations now.

The Co-op Local Community Fund‘s next round begins in October 2026 and Co-op Members will decide how the total fund of £3.5m is invested.

In local areas, £6,000 will be shared across local areas for good causes close to Co-op shops.

Since 2016, Co-op members have raised over £85m for nearly 30,000 local projects through this fund.

Applications can be made by not-for-profit groups that need funding to deliver specific projects that benefit their local community.

The Fund prioritises projects that improve access to food, improve mental wellbeing, create opportunities for young people and those that help the environment and tackle climate change.

Applications for projects that promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion are encouraged.

They must also take place or still be running after November 2027.

If successful, organisations will partner with Co-op for 12 months and Co-op members will be encouraged to support your project.

Only one application per group will be accepted.

Also launched this year, is High Five – an opportunity for Co-op Members to collect stamps and earn rewards when they shop in Co-op Food stores. From October, for every personal stamp a member receives, they’ll also get a community stamp to give to a Local Community Fund cause of their choice. The amount of money your cause will receive will be based on the number of community stamps received from members who have chosen you during the funding period.

The closing date to apply to the Community Fund is midnight on 24 June 2026.
