The Church Urban Fund, in partnership with the Benefact Trust, are offering small grants to help refugees.
The funding looks to provide items to cover basic needs, helping with settlement into life in the UK and providing safe spaces and networks of support.
Registered Christian charities and members of Churches Together In England can apply for £500 to £5,000.
The funding can be used for:
• personal items such as clothing, mobile phones, bicycles and baby items
• expenses for volunteers or facilities
• integration and settling activities
• language support
• home items
There is a primary focus on support for Ukranian arrivals but they will also consider activities and support for Afghan refugees.
All applicants must be able to demonstrate a clear Christian foundation or ethos. Grants are not directly provided to individuals.
The closing date for applications is 9 December 2022 but the fund may close earlier if funds are expended.
