This Foundation funds small grass roots charities which support young people in London, the East, and the South East of England.
Their grants help young people aged up to 30 who come from difficult circumstances to help them lead healthy, happy, successful lives.
This includes projects that develop skills, advance education, relieve unemployment, support mental and physical health, provide recreational activities and create opportunities.
UK registered charities with a turnover below £2M annually can apply for grants of up to £50,000.
There is a two-stage application process. In Stage 1 organisations must provide essential organisational information and a 100-word summary of their work and beneficiaries, the purpose of the funding, and the amount requested.
If successful, applicants will be invited to continue to Stage 2.
The types of projects they fund include:
- programmes to develop skills
- educational activities
- services to relieve sickness or advance both physical and mental health
- recreational and leisure activities.
Funds must be spent within 18 months of receipt.
There are two funding rounds in 2025, as follows:
- 1 – 10 February with decisions announced in May 2025
- 1 – 10 August with decisions announced in November 2025.
For the February round, Stage 2 applications should be completed by 7 March 2025.
