This grant programme offers small grants to support the sustainability of community sports clubs and organisations in the UK and Ireland.
Small grants of £2,000, funded by Flutter Entertainment and delivered by Sported, offers community groups the opportunity to access unrestricted funding to improve facilities, buy new equipment, gain coaching qualifications and invest in the sustainability of their club.
The 2024 programme is exclusively focused on supporting adult clubs. The funding is for groups that deliver activities to over-18s only, with an emphasis on 18–25 year olds.
The funding will be unrestricted but with an outcome of increasing participation, meaning clubs are able to decide how best to use the grant to engage more adults from their local communities.
Applications are particularly welcomed from clubs targeting communities from deprived areas, as well as those using sport for other social purposes such as developing skills, reducing crime or addressing anti-social behaviour.
Applicants must be either registered charities, community interest companies or clubs with a structured governance and constitution.
The funding should be spent within a six month period, to allow for assessment and reporting on impact.
