FUNDING: B&Q Foundation – next deadline 9 May

This Foundation provides grants for a wide range of charities who are looking for funding to improve or develop spaces that benefit their local communities.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available to UK registered charities for projects that improve homes and community spaces for those most in need, such as those experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, poor health, disability, or other disadvantage or distress.

The funding is made to decorate, renovate, or create indoor and outdoor spaces where people can feel at home and have a sense of belonging.

Projects could include creating community gardens, redecorating properties, upgrading key fixtures and fittings, and creating new buildings or rooms.

Up to £10,000 is available for internal projects, and £5,000 for garden projects.

Charities will need a published profile on Neighbourly in order to apply.

The deadlines for the 2025 funding rounds are:

  • 9.30am on 22 April
  • 6pm on 9 May
  • 9.30am on 14 July
  • 6pm on 1 August
  • 9.30am on 20 October
  • 6pm on 7 November.

Applicants are notified on the outcome of an application by email within 8 weeks of the round closing.

If a large number of eligible applications are received in a round, they may chose not to open the following round and allocate instead from applications already received.
