FUNDING: Big Give Christmas Challenge – apply by 4 Jul

Applications are open now for this annual online match funding campaign.

For seven days, starting on Giving Tuesday (2 Dec), supporters of participating charities have the chance to double their donations.

In 2024, 98% of eligible charities received funding offers from Big Give’s partners.

You can gain new supporters, strengthen existing relationships, and boost your donations.

To apply, you must be a UK-registered charity with a Charity Commission, OSCR or NI Charity Commission number or tax-exempt status, and have an annual income of at least £25,000 (as per last filed accounts on the Charity Commission).

If you fit the above criteria, you’ll then need to register with BigGive.org, which is free, and start securing pledges.

A minimum of £1,000 in pledges must be reached to be eligible for the funding.

Early submissions are encouraged to allow plenty of time for pledge collection.

Join the Securing your pledges webinar on Wednesday 11 June, 12pm – 1pm for tips, guidance and advice on approaching major donors to be your Plegders. The session will be facilitated by a charity that has taken part in multiple Big Give campaigns and you will also have the opportunity to ask them your questions.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 4 July 2025.
