Organisations can apply at any time to this Foundation for grants that raise the quality of life for people in England and Wales.
The Foundation aims to provide greater opportunities for the young, elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged by supporting capital projects in the areas of community, education, health and social welfare.
It offers three levels of grants:
- Large grants of £25,000 and above
- Medium grants of up to £20,000
- Small grants of £5,000 and under.
The funding supports capital projects, project costs of between £10,000 and £5 million, and charities with an annual income of under £10 million.
They do not fully fund projects but offer a contribution to overall project costs.
Charities, specialist schools, CIOs, and other not-for-profit organisations can apply.
Large and medium grants are considered and agreed upon at Trustees’ meetings.
Small grants are agreed by Trustees on a monthly basis and form the majority of grants awarded.
Applications can be made at any time.
Decisions are given within three months for small grants and within six months for others.
